By using ‘The Site’ and Nevill Argyle Ltd commission service your are agreeing to comply with these Terms & Conditions.  Nevill Argyle Ltd may choose to modify or make changes to the Terms & Conditions at any time at its complete discretion. The Terms & Conditions may change from when you last made a purchase therefore you must read and understand the Terms & Conditions before making any purchase with Nevill Argyle.

The following definitions apply in the following conditions.
Bespoke: Jewellery which has been tailor made or personalised to your requirements and is not ready to wear jewellery.
Personalised Collection: Jewellery which has been made and personalised to your requirements and is not ready to wear jewellery.
Ready To Wear: Jewellery which is not bespoke or personalised.
Goods or Products: Refer to bespoke jewellery, personalised jewellery or ready to wear jewellery which are set out in your order.
Order: Your order of bespoke jewellery, personalised jewellery or ready to wear jewellery.
Business Day: A day which excludes Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays in England.
Payment & Charges: Charges and payments payable by you to Nevill Argyle Ltd for the supply of goods or services which have been or will be carried out.
Terms & Conditions: The contract between you and us for the supply of any goods in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
We/us/our: Refers to Nevill Argyle Ltd registered in England with company number 11634606.

You/your: The person who purchases goods from us and agrees to our Terms & Conditions



The commission of goods is strictly limited to parties who can lawfully enter into and form contracts with Nevill Argyle Ltd in accordance with English law. This includes the requirement to be over the age of 18.
Purchases must be made for personal or gift use and are not to be purchased for resale or commercial purposes or for any profitable gains. Nevill Argyle Ltd has the right to question, restrict and decline any multiple orders being sold to one individual customer, whether this be to one name or one postal address.
Purchases made with Nevill Argyle Ltd must be paid by bank transfer. The bank account which the payment is made from when ordering goods with Nevill Argyle must be valid and correct and that the purchaser is the person referred to in the billing information.



To start an order or enquiry with Nevill Argyle Ltd you must provide your full details, including but not limited to your name, address, email and telephone number. All information provided must be true, accurate, current and complete. If any of the information which you have provided changes, please update us as soon as reasonably possible by emailing info@nevillargyle.com. Nevill Argyle Ltd has the right to change the registration requirements at any time.
Further information which might be requested includes but is not limited to your budget, commission details and reason for the order.



Nevill Argyle Ltd will use the information provided at the registration stage to put together a design and design brief which will be presented to you before any commission starts. Designs may include drawings, paintings, ‘CAD’s’, which can be of a basic level to highly skilled rendered images. The level of design depends on the nature of the commission and is up to the discretion of the Nevill Argyle Ltd designers. Nevill Argyle Ltd reserve the right to present images and designs that they feel adequately represent the commission matching the design brief and budget requirements.



Quotations or Estimates are estimates only and do not form a legally binding contract. All quotation prices and estimates are valid for 30 days from the date stated on the document and may change depending on the specifications of the final order. It is possible that, despite our best efforts, prices detailed on the estimate, quotation or invoice are incorrect. In this event, we are entitled to rectify this and we will inform you at the earliest convenience of the change.



Once the details of the final commission have been approved by you, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at registration. The email will outline the relevant details which may include but are not limited to; the final design, the details of the bespoke goods and the invoice. It is your responsibility to ensure the details of the order are accurate and complete. We ask that you reply to the email accepting and proceeding with the order based on the information provided. By confirming to the email you are entering into a legally binding contract with Nevill Argyle Ltd and you are confirming that you would like to proceed with the order details stated on the invoice and email and agree to our Terms & Conditions.
We have the right to decline your order or deposit at any time at our own discretion.



Before work can begin on the commission a deposit must be paid. The deposit amount will depend on the bespoke commission and will always exceed 50% of the total cost of the goods. Payment is to be made by bank transfer to the account details provided on the invoice. We ask that the payment reference is the invoice number followed by your surname. Once we are in receipt of the payment and only once the funds have cleared, we will begin working on your bespoke commission. By paying the deposit payment you are entering into a legally binding contract with Nevill Argyle Ltd and confirming that your would like to proceed with the order details stated on the invoice and agree to our Terms & Conditions. The payment of the deposit overrides the email confirmation stated in Number 5. Payment in full can also be made at this stage if this is preferred.



We work to complete bespoke commissions within eight to ten weeks from receipt of the deposit payment. This however is only a guide and the delivery time is subject to the complexity of the commission, amount of work, delays or illness to Nevill Argyle ltd employees, delays from third parties, or delays out of our control. Nevill Argyle Ltd are not in breach of the contract if the delivery time of goods are not within the 8 - 10 week guidelines. Nevill Argyle Ltd are not liable to you for any loss, damage, costs, expenses or any other claim you may incur due to our lateness in the delivery of the goods.   



Final payment is due on completion of your commission. You will be contacted by an employee of Nevill Argyle Ltd informing you that your bespoke commission is complete and ready to collect. At this point the outstanding payment is due before goods can be released. Payment is to be made by bank transfer to the account details provided on the invoice which states the outstanding payment. We ask that the payment reference is the invoice number followed by your surname. Once we are in receipt of the payment and only once the funds have cleared can the goods be released.



On completion of goods and once we have received cleared funds for the full payment, delivery or collection can be arranged. Delivery will be arranged on an individual basis with each client depending on the location. If delivery or collection is not possible, postage can be arranged using the Royal Mail Special Delivery service, subject to our postage Terms & Conditions. Please see point 10 for full details.



If delivery or collection is not possible, we are happy to arrange for postage using the Royal Mail Special Delivery service which covers contents up to the value of £2,500. If your goods exceed this value we are not able to arrange the shipment on your behalf. A postage fee will be applied to all posted goods whatever content value. From the moment the parcel is with Royal Mail, Nevill Argyle Ltd are no longer responsible for your goods and they are now your full responsibility. Once posted you will be emailed the postage reference tracking number so you are able to track your goods. We ensure that all goods are packed carefully and are in protective packaging  but if they are damaged in delivery Nevill Argyle Ltd do not take responsibility for the condition of goods once they arrive. If they have been damaged we are happy to assist you with your claim to prove the condition of the goods when sent.



All Nevill Argyle Ltd goods undergo a thorough quality control process before being released to you. On collection or delivery of your bespoke goods you will be asked to sign a completion contract accepting that you are happy that the bespoke good/s meet the design brief and they are in good condition and that there is no damage or defect to the finished goods.  



Once you have accepted the goods, either by collection/delivery or once goods are in transit with the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service, you are fully responsible for your goods and they are no longer the responsibility of Nevill Argyle Ltd. If goods are damaged once in your care it is not the responsibility of Nevill Argyle Ltd to arrange repair or replacement for any goods. We recommend to get the relevant insurance to cover your goods from the moment of collection.



Nevill Argyle Ltd wish to ensure customer satisfaction however due to the nature of bespoke and customised commissions we are unable to accept any returned goods.



Nevill Argyle Ltd  do not provide any form of guarantee with our goods. Please refer to item No 12 for information on your responsibility and insurance. We are happy to assist with the repair of goods purchased from Nevill Argyle Ltd  which are damaged within 12 months of purchase from us, however a charge will be applied for this service.


Due to the nature of bespoke orders we are unable to accept cancellations on any bespoke or customised commissions, with no exceptions.

We reserve the right to cancel any contract between you and us due to but not limited to; if we are unable to attain materials relating to your  bespoke commission, we are unable to deliver to your location, if the price quoted was incorrect due to a typographical error or information provided to us by a third party supplier was incorrect. If cancellation does occur we will notify you on the contact details provided and we will re-edit your account as soon as possible. We will not provide any additional  compensation for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.



Nevill Argyle Ltd will not be in breach of the Terms & Conditions or liable for delays or failure to perform any of the obligations outlined in the Terms & Conditions if the delay or failure to delivery result from an event or circumstance that is beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of god, natural disasters, terrorist attack, war, riots, fire, strikes.



Nevill Argyle Ltd own the rights of the name Nevill Argyle, all Nevill Argyle Ltd collection designs, all bespoke designs and goods commissioned. In relation to bespoke orders where you provide materials towards the commission, it is your responsibility to have the correct licences or Intellectual Property Rights required in any material or designs and you have the permission and right to give us the right to use them. We are then  entitled to claim the rights of the new design made under these circumstances. Clients do not have ownership of the design and are not eligible to use the design to replicate the goods with another jeweller or use for commercial use in any way.


17.1 Nothing in the Terms & Conditions shall limit or exclude our liability for:
  1. death or personal injury due to Nevill Argyle Ltd’s negligence, including employees of Nevill Argyle Ltd, third party suppliers, goldsmiths, agents or subcontractors.
  2. Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

17.2 We are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) which have arisen due to any problem you notify us of under this condition and we have no liability to pay you any money as  compensation.
17.3 You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from Nevill Argyle. The importation or exportation of our goods may be prohibited by certain national laws. We accept no liability or responsibility in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase from Nevill Argyle.
17.4 Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights.
17.5 We cannot be held responsible for any delays once the goods have left us and are in possession of the courier or Royal Mail.



Nevill Argyle Ltd have the rights to market all designs and goods, (whether these are the final goods or photographs of the goods or final designs or images of the design) commissioned by you for any purpose required. We understand that some pieces are commissioned as gifts so we will do our best not to use the designs for marketing purposes until the goods have been given to the recipient. It is your responsibility to make us aware of this.



To enrich your visit to our website and social media we may provide you with links to third party companies and/or weblinks.  These sites belong and are operated by third parties. By displaying and providing them we are not endorsing and are not liable or have any responsibility over their website, their content, products or services.



If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable by law  (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) it does not affect the enforceability of any other part of these terms & conditions.  



  1. These terms and conditions, together with our quoted prices,  delivery details and contact details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by us. Nothing said by a member of  the Nevill Argyle company should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by us. Save for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, we shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
  2. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness or suitability for  any purpose of the information and related graphics published on the Nevill Argyle website or social media. Occasionally our website may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors.    



Every transaction taken place is deemed to be completed within the United Kingdom and therefore shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law. The terms of this charter (any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claims of whatever nature in relation to them) shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation thereto
